Remy - 2 years old in Texas

Remy is a 2 year old sweetheart!!  He truly stole all of our hearts when we found him in the shelter in San Antonio TX the day before he was scheduled to be put down.  He was a stray that had been attacked by other dogs.....and the look on his face - he had given up :(
We pulled him to safety and nourished him back to health - he weighed only 29 lbs......his hip bones stuck out.  His bite wounds were still infected and he had been shaved.....but we saw the beauty in him and made a promise to bring the light back into his eyes. 

Well - we did all that we promised.  Now we have to keep the rest of our promise and find this healthy, happy boy his forever home.
Neutered, HW negative, all vaccinations up to date, coat grown back in - he's a force to be reckoned with!  Remy has a gusto for life and LOVES to play with other dogs!! He's sure of himself, confident and very intelligent.  He looks like he weighs around 50 lbs. right??? WRONG!!  Remy is only 36 lbs. and he may gain a couple more....but he looks good now we think :) 
It makes us sad to think that someone didn't want this sweet boy...but honestly....their loss will be someone else's gain.  Remy will need an active home - we mean LOTS of exercise and interaction....this ain't no couch potato puppy here!!

Brooks - 7 month old male in Texas

Hey there my name is Brooks and I'm just 7 months old....yuppers, I'm still a puppy!  I love to play with my brother but he just got  adopted.....so I need to find my very own forever home too!  I'm a great little boy and the rescue has taken good care of me!  I've had all my vaccinations, and they did something called neuter to me and I had to walk around with a cone on my head, but it was kind of fun! 
I'd like to have a family that wants to play with me...if you have kids, that would be great!  I've never met a cat before, but I'm a pretty easy going little guy so if you teach me to be a good boy, I promise I will be!!! 
I'm in this place called Texas right now - it's pretty hot here....anybody at the beach looking for a dog that will hang out and chill with you in the sand??  I always dreamed of going to the beach!  I came from way down near Corpus Christi and man, it was REALLY hot down there!

Maui - fostered in Lousiana

So here's this dog who's got this incredibly awesome personality - like you know...anything goes - kinda like a surfers attitude!  Waves aren't 6' high???...that's ok we'll still ride em dude!! 
LOL - meet Maui!!!  Talk about a pup that just spreads sunshine wherever he goes - happy, playful, energetic and full of kisses for you!  He pays no mind to his fosters kitty and he initiates play with every dog he meets. We think he's still a puppy at about 8 months old - he's neutered and has all of his vaccinations up to date.  This sweet boy would fit in any home as long as they aren't glued to the couch!!!   An active, fun filled family for this boy please!  He weighs around 38 lbs. and he may get a little bigger, but not much. 
If you're looking for a dog that will fit RIGHT into your family....one that will bring you eons of joy for years to come....look no further, you've already found him and his name is Maui ;)

Dani - fostered in Louisiana

This beautiful Carolina Dog mix (named after her foster who's just as beautiful!!)  has so much personality and she really loves to be outdoors playing and exploring.  She's a bit dog selective so she would need slow introductions and lots of pack walks to get her settled in - (SCD coaches all of their adopters on proper introductions and acclimating dogs to a new home).
She's got a pretty high prey drive so no small animals or cats please! 
Dani does like children though and we think she'd do well with a family (you don't have to have kids lol!!) - one that is active and likes to be outdoors a lot.  We would HIGHLY recommend training classes with Dani so she can learn the ropes, basic commands, and build a bond based on mutual respect with her humans. 
We've had her spayed and all of her vaccinations are current, she's 100% healthy according to the vet and she'd love a forever home with you.  She's only about 10 months old, and weighs 36 lbs. so she's still just a puppy and will fit into just about any family or home!

Butter - fostered in Texas

Butter is a beautiful Carolina Dog mix that was brought into a vets office and surrendered because he got 'too big', they wanted him to be put to sleep.  Thank goodness the vet contacted us so we could offer him rescue and find this young - (yes, he's still a puppy!!) and very sweet boy a home.
Butter has been neutered and he's up to date on all vaccines as well as HW negative and on preventative.  He weighs 57 lbs. and he's 10 months old.  He really loves to play with other dogs and he's not aggressive at all so we'd like to find him a home with at least another dog.
Let's get this boy into his new home so he can have a great life with a family that will love him forever!

Indy - Carolina Dog mix in FL

Indy is a very special boy that we rescued from the Broward County shelter in FL.  Seems he sustained an old injury to his left front leg that left him with atrophied muscle causing him to limp.  He does use the leg so we're going to get him some physical therapy to help him regain even more use of it.

Indy is about 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs.  He's housebroken, walks well on a leash, up to date on vaccines and loves being outdoors!
Whatever happened to him didn't affect his personality or his love for life - he's a happy, smiling and very dog friendly guy!  He will be in foster with SCD until we feel he's ready to go on to his forever home so feel free to join our FB group page to check in on his progress!!!

UPDATE ON INDY!
Indy has been in foster for several weeks now! We've had him neutered and seen by our vet who feels he is ready for his forever home. Although he'll always have a bit of a limp, he's able to run and play and his personality is award winning!  He'd be great with a family that is active but will take it slow with him - other dogs would be a plus as he's a very social pup!

Sitka - 10 month old Carolina Dog

Sitka is gorgeous....and he's just getting started! He's only 10 months old so he's all legs and loves running and playing!  Once he's full grow, this boy is going to be stunning! 
We rescued Sitka along with his siblings Sage & Shiloh from the San Antonio shelter in TX.  All 3 are headed East on transport to new foster homes! 
We had him tested with cats and he showed no reaction to them, he's house broken, HW negative, neutered and he's UTD on all of his vaccinations!
